It started with friends and a van.
In 2016 Kuma began driving visiting friends around Sri Lanka. They kept asking for the places he went himself rather than the ones on the list. Essencylon grew out of that, and it still works the same way.
Who you are dealing with
Essencylon is small and based just outside Colombo. Priyantha Vijesuriya — Kuma to everyone who travels with us — runs it, plans the routes and answers the messages.
We run private trips for couples, families and small groups: a few hours through Colombo by tuk tuk, a day at Sigiriya or Yala, or two weeks taking in the hill country, the ancient sites and the south coast. Everything is quoted per trip rather than sold as a seat, and the itinerary is written after we know what you are interested in.
How we work

Nothing here is a fixed package. We ask what you actually want, then build the route, the pace and the stops around it.
One price, agreed before you go
You get a single figure covering what was discussed. No hidden extras appearing later.
